Younger people in Coney Hill

Linking to Child Friendly Gloucestershire, we are really excited to be working in partnership with a some brilliant local organisations so that young people’s wellbeing is seen as part of community wellbeing and that the community is a welcoming place for young people.

We are starting out in Coney Hill and are supported by a group of services and stakeholders, including local community groups such as Echoes youth Club, Young Gloucestershire, Active Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire Constabulary and health.

We want to be led by younger people and so will be looking to employ young people in Coney Hill as community builders with a role to

    • Build trusted relationships with other young people in their community and others in the community

    • Provide opportunities to make plans together for what they want to see in their community

    • Support young people to map out what they have in their communities already and what they may want to see in their communities and support them in their ambitions to achieve this.

The project will explore partnering with a research partner to scope out an evaluation framework
