Exciting News!
Exciting changes are on the horizon for the Gloucester Community Building Collective in the new year, and we want to keep you informed about the developments within our organisation.
After two fantastic years of leadership, Miranda Eeles, our Executive Director, will be stepping down from her position. Miranda’s time with us has been marked by her unwavering dedication to communities in Gloucester, and under her leadership, GCBC has flourished. We are immensely grateful for Miranda’s hard work, vision, and commitment. While we will certainly miss her, we wish Miranda the very best in her future endeavours and look forward to seeing all she accomplishes.
We are thrilled to announce that Rae Bell, a long-time member of the GCBC family, will be stepping into the role of Manager. Rae has been an integral part of GCBC since its inception and has demonstrated exceptional passion, leadership, and dedication to community building. Her extensive experience, combined with her deep understanding of the needs of our local communities makes her the ideal person to guide GCBC as we continue to grow and evolve in the years ahead. We’re confident that Rae will bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and energy to her new role, and we are excited to see the direction she will take the organisation.
In the coming year, we will be recruiting for a new Deputy Manager role to provide vital support in overseeing GCBC's activities and ensuring we continue to offer impactful services to the community. We encourage anyone with a passion for community work and a desire to make a difference to keep an eye on our upcoming job posting.
Tracey Thomas, Chair of the Board of GCBC, shared her excitement about Rae’s new position, saying, “We are delighted that Rae is taking on this important role. Over the years, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in community building, developing strong relationships with people, groups, and organisations across Gloucester City. Rae’s leadership has been central to GCBC’s growth and success, and we are excited to continue collaborating with her as we look toward the future.”
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to our incredible team of Community Builders. Their tireless dedication, enthusiasm, and passion have been at the heart of everything we do. We also appreciate the ongoing support of our partners, together we will continue to make positive changes in our communities throughout 2024 and beyond.
We look forward to an exciting new chapter at GCBC and thank you for your continued support.
