Ernie and Josie and daughter Carol have been bringing a little Christmas cheer for the residents of Elmbridge for over 20 years. It all first started with Ernie and Josie back in the day wanting to do something for their daughter, who has learning difficulties, on her birthday on Christmas Eve. The school friends really enjoyed seeing the lights and even the teaches would visit with the students each year…

Ernie and Josie have not looked back since and have gathered decorations as far as America, Romina and many other places around the world.

Ernie shared

“ When we visit places on Holiday we always keep an eye out for decorations, even in the heat of summer, as they can be unusual and best of all, cheaper!”

People now come from across the city to view and enjoy the lights from the 1st of December each year and many more come from wider still….

Ernie and Josie show their kindness through this event each year and for them to see the children’s and adults faces light up, makes a real difference…

Josie stated,

“ People need a bit of cheering up at this current time and this is our little way of doing it”

Be inspired to do something in your street or area around lighting up people’s lives either by decorations, lights, windows ? or best of all, just by being friendly, caring and kind in this season of Advent. Santa might even visit you then
