Community Spirit Awards
Our Community Builders nominated people across Gloucester that have shown Community Spirit over 2022, celebrating their actions and accomplishments to make Gloucester a great place to live.
How far is our reach?
“Reaching others beyond ourselves” has always been a challenging mantra that I try to aspire to and this role has definitely put people back at the forefront of community life across the city, whilst challenging my own human desire to rescue/fix people.
From the NHS to GCBC
I have worked in NHS for many years all over Gloucestershire and also in Bristol. I am really proud to have been part of the NHS family and have met and worked with some brilliant and dedicated colleagues, making friends for life.
Longlevens Community Centre
These resources give people a safe, warm environment to meet, talk and take part in different activities, that don’t just benefit the resident, but enables the business to thrive and learn, and expand for the residents needs.
Longlevens Recycled Teenagers
People need a physical connection, building a healthy routine for themselves at home, and being able to talk to people face to face. The physically company has been the driving force behind this group, knowing their need for that interaction and social belonging.
